Quicker and more efficient than shaving, waxing is a form of hair removal that removes the hair from the root. This allows longer times in between sessions without worry about pesky hairs popping out of no where! With consistent treatments hair will start to grow back thinner and finer making waxing less uncomfortable with greater results.
Honey wax is heated up in a wax warmer till its a thick, caramel-like consistency, then it is applied to the area being waxed. This gentle wax can be used anywhere on the body without the worry of lifting skin. Most treatments last between 15-30 minutes unless its a large area such as a back or full legs.

Make sure hair growth is at least as long as a grain of rice. Exfoliate the skin a few days before your appointment and moisturize as often as possible before coming in. The more hydrated the skin and hair are, the less likely it will be for hair breakage or skin-lift. Come in the day of with clean skin with nothing on it. If you have a low pain threshold we recommend taking Advil or ibuprofen two hours prior to service.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does waxing hurt?
Everyone has a different pain threshold. Some clients tend to feel more pain than others. We try our hardest to make each client as comfortable as possible. We recommend taking an Aspirin or Ibuprofen 30 minutes before your appointment for maximum comfort. Waxing more often will also help because the hair will start growing back finer and less frequent.
Can you wax while using Retin A, Renova, Accutane?
We do not recommend waxing while using these products. They increase skin exfoliation so there is an increased chance skin could be removed as well as hair. Chemical peels, laser treatments and microdermabrasion could also have similar effects to the skin if waxed. We recommend stopping use of these treatments for a minum of 1 week before and 1 week after getting any waxing service. If you had a chemical peel you must wait 2 weeks before you can be waxed again.
Are there any medications to be aware of if I want to get waxed?
Yes, if you are currently using any of the following medications, please consult with a physician first: Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Benzyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid, Alpha Hydroxyl Acid, Vitamin A, prescribed exfoliating scrubs, Antibiotics, Hormonal Medications, Radiation/ Chemotherapy. (Brands to look out for include Adapalene, Avita, Tazorac Avage, Proactive, Differin, and Strivectin.)
How do I prepare for waxing?
Gently exfoliate the area a few days before your appointment. Clean area well and make sure to moisturize.
How long does hair have to be to wax?
Hair has to be at least 1/4" to 1/2" to be effective to wax. This is usually 2-4 weeks without shaving, must have a minimum of 2 weeks without shaving.
Can you tan and still be waxed?
For the most comfortable experience, we recommend you avoid sun and indoor tanning 48 hours before and after being waxed.
After waxing I get ingrown hairs, is there anyway I can prevent that?
Yes, you can exfoliate 2-3 times per week and that should help prevent ingrown hairs from happening.
What should I know after I get a wax?
Your skin may be sensitive after waxing. Any red bumps or irritation should go down within a few hours after waxing treatment. You should avoid sun, tanning, working out, hot tubs/hot baths, heavy lotions and exfoliating for 48 hours after waxing treatment.
